Wow...I've really let my blog-updating go be the wayside lately. I guess my last few posts were pretty gloomy, so I just distracted myself with other stuff. Unfortunately, that other stuff wasn't so good for me either.
In any case, I'm faring a bit better, and am gearing up for Thanksgiving with the family. It can sometimes be a lot of effort to be around them, but then I stop and consider that I have them around at all. Though they have plenty of reservations about me being gay, they do love me. I am thankful.
I am a Christian. I am a gay man. Here is chronicle of my symbolic journey west, toward adventure, challenge, mystery and ultimately peace.

Happy Thanksgiving
I've mostly been quietly following your blog here but I wanted to say have a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
God bless.
Family -- Blood relations can be a complicated thing for many of us. God love 'em and we're thankful for them, but also thankful for the new family the journey brings our way.
Happy Thanksgiving, blessings, and peace of Christ.
Blog at your own pace. That is the joy of RSS feeds. They let me know when you have updated. So very considerate of the RSS feed gods.
Journeyman,
All of the gay comradery in the world will neither bring eternal peace nor change the fact that acting on these desires constitutes sexual sin and will be dealt with accordingly.
The best you can hope for in this scenario is that God will give you over to the lusts of your heart.
Your comrades apparently not only commit sin, but also defend and justify it, while encouraging others to do the like. To be pleased with other people's sins is to love sin for sin's sake, which is joining in a confederacy for the devil's kingdom and interest.
The reality is that the beginning and end of your journey is not all that complicated, it is found in choosing to follow God's will or your own.
It will be interesting to watch and see which path you will ultimately take...

Oh my! "Truth in Love" I believe misspoke since he seems to believe he knows God's will for you. Let's leave him to search the words of Jesus to discover if that is a good or bad idea.
I would agree with him that the beginning and ending of your journey is not all that complicated. However, I rest knowing that the beginning and the ending of that journey are found in Christ.
See? Not complicated at all!
Peace of Christ
kj,
I've already followed your suggestion, and I didn't misspeak at all. The Bible is crystal clear on God's will for all mankind:
1) To be Saved
2) To be Spirit Filled
3) To be Sanctified
4) To be willing to Suffer
5) To be Submissive

We got this stupid threat, so we were forced to move to a new blog.
Glad you found us.
TIL,
The game of dueling scripture verses is one in which I do not engage since it is never-ending and results in ill-will.
I apologize for being flip regarding your comment and wish you a Merry Christmas and peace of Christ.
kj,
If you were to place your life on a straight hand-drawn line that extends equal to the length of eternity, consider how much space it might consume.
The equivalent of this period '.' perhaps?
I am attempting to discuss eternal matters of the heart and this topic has nothing to do with "dueling scripture" - a comment that insinuates that the Bible somehow contradicts itself or doesn't really mean what it says.
At any rate, even when you attempt to remove scripture from the equation the truth still stands.
To the point that when you recognize that no culture, or race, or civilization has EVER embraced the "virtue" of homosexuality - logic SHOULD take hold and dictate that it has to be a perversion of the natural order that surrounds us.
Two questions:
1) How can there be such blatant perversity in the midst of the entire abundant natural (and dare I say, scriptural) evidence we are confronted with?
Answer #1: The only way that makes sense is to believe a lie.
2) Are you willing to bet your eternity on a lie?
Answer #2: Hell no.
